How to Build a High School Athlete Practice

High school athletes are in abundance in every community.  Sports oriented chiropractors would love to work with this age group for many reasons;

  • They’re a tremendously vibrant group

  • The joy of being involved with sports

  • There is an unending supply of student athletes year after year

  • Young athletes heal quicker----meaning greater successes

  • Become a major part of your local high school’s athletic successes

  • You WILL change the futures of many young athletes

  • While building your future practice

The difficulties in attracting this group into your practice are plentiful (and for many chiropractors, impossible);

  • What is your role? Will you only treat back problems, and how do you get them into your office when injured?  How about those who aren’t injured?  Will you ever see them?

  • Who will ultimately decide on the athlete coming to your office? As in, who do you need to market to?

  • Will the obstacles (“is it covered by insurance”?, “why does my child need to see a chiropractor”?, “my child isn’t even in pain, why would they need to come in”?, “their pediatrician doesn’t want the child to see a chiropractor”) prevent these kids from ever making it into your office?

  • What if they are asymptomatic?  Why would they ever become a patient?

  • If they have no symptoms/diagnosis, who will pay for your services?

  • How do you gain access to any or all of the decision makers to get these young athletes into your office(in abundance)?

With all these obstacles, it’s easy to understand why very few chiropractors have an abundance of high school athletes in their practice.

FACT: If you know how to remove the obstacles (which this program will teach) and make parents, coaches and athletes understand the biomechanical VOID in our sportsmedicine industry and the VALUE OF YOUR SERVICES (which our program will also teach), your practice will EXPLODE with high school athletes.

The Concerned Parents of Young Athletes™ Program is a sports biomechanics program designed to educate and motivate high school athletes in your community to come into your office for biomechanical evaluations, to treat their injuries, correct their biomechanical imbalances and manage their care for the long term.

This 10 week series, sponsored by The Structural Management® Program and Foot Leveler’s (while in the comfort of your office) will give you every bit of information needed to become the high school athlete expert in your community.

What You Will Learn With This Program

1) How to perceive yourself as the “BEST” sports biomechanics expert for all high school athletes in your community.

2) How to clearly define your role with all of these athletes as the sports injuries and biomechanics expert.

3) How to deliver a “Crystal Clear Message” your community will understand endorsing you as the best sports Dr. in town.

4) The marketing program that will bring these athletes into your office.

5) The step by step procedures to get in front of the decision makers.

6) The complete power point presentation that will “tell your story” in 15-20 minutes.

7) How to consult with these young patients and parents once they come into your office, determining whether they are an acute care patient, chronic care patient, or asymptomatic patient.  (Knowing you have a protocol for each of the above).

8) How to perform a Structural Fingerprint® Exam, the most efficient and informative biomechanical exam in the country today. (Review of Foot Leveler’s Digital Scanner, WinPosture Center of Gravity Scanner, Biomechanical X-Rays)

9) How to interpret and communicate the information found on the exam findings in your powerful report of findings.

10) How to present your Advanced Conditioning™ Program (1 Year Program), a Gold, Silver and Bronze Level, so it fits the wants and needs of each and every patient (for both therapeutic and corrective care).  The athlete/parent then signs a one year agreement with your office.

11) How to make every young athlete understand the benefits of Foot Leveler’s Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers, and purchase them at the start of their program.

12) How to manage the young athlete through the year, with successful rehab (Review of Tri-Flex, Power Plate Vibrational System, The Stick) (based on biomechanical findings on exam) and how to perform critically important re-exams along the way.

13) Acute injury protocols (i.e. shin splints, stress fxs, low back and IT Band syndrome) (Review of Erchonia Cold Laser, Kinesio Taping, Cryoderm Analgesic Spray).

14) How to transition a patient from acute care to corrective care seamlessly.

15) Each week we’ll review Case Histories and go over a different Report of Findings.

16) What to do with this patient at the end of one year so they continue with you in an ongoing “management” capacity.

Once you’ve completed this 10 week program, you will never practice the same again.  You will practice on the cutting edge of sports biomechanics, and enjoy the many relationships you develop with all of these young athletes in your community.  You will also attract many family members once they learn about you and sports biomechanics.

At the completion of this program, you will be invited to become a member of The Structural Management® Network, a Network of Drs. who specialize in sports biomechanics.

To register, fill out the attached application and fax it to 518.393.2616.  Participation will involve 10 weekly teleconferences, held on Tuesdays at 12 noon EST until 1:30 pm.  All teleconferences will be recorded and provided to you for later review.  In addition, all forms, power point presentations and scripts will be provided during the 10 weeks.  Start date to be announced.
